About

Well hello! My name is Taylor Amsler, and I’m so grateful that you are taking time to read “Blessed behind the chair” and the history of what this is all about!

The purpose-

This was placed on my heart and I believe it was by the grace of God. We all search and search for that calling that God puts on our hearts. I guess you can say I’m being obedient and going with it! God places people, things, and circumstances in our lives each and every day. We have the choice to step out into faith and to trust him without knowing what could happen. Our job is to have faith and to trust Him without understanding the outcome.

Let me tell you a little about me! I am 21 years old…from Richmond, Va. I have lived in Richmond all of my life. I myself work behind the chair full time as a hair stylist. I decided in high school that my  direction wasn’t college. YES it was nerve racking knowing all of my friends went off to college, but I knew that it was not for me. I started working full time and 4 1/2 years later I’m still doing what I love. I know God has immeasurably more for me than I could ever dream of. I Grew up as a “Christian” but until 2016 I didn’t have a relationship with God. For all of you that know –  its a game changer and for all of you who don’t it is life changing! I re-gave my life to Christ and got baptized last year. It was the most liberating feeling I have ever experienced in my life, and I will always treasure that for the rest of my life. Since then, my walk with God has not always been easy, but it has definitely been worth it . WOW I can go on, and on with how his grace has shown up into my situations and circumstances. Amen!

The point of this page/blog-

Although this page is called “Blessed behind the chair;” my whole purpose is to spread Gods word. To empower women/men and hair stylists that are behind the chair each and every day like myself. Not behind the chair? That’s okay because someone right now is sitting “behind your chair” waiting for you to plant that seed for them. I encourage ALL of you to step out into faith and spread his good news to someone today!

Testimonials-

I hear testimonials each and every day behind the chair. For people to have that comfort level with me to poor out their hearts, tell me there circumstances, fears, troubles, and anxieties is an unbelievable feeling. We, as Christians, are called to do more. We are called to love the way God loves. We are called to take into account peoples circumstances and poor his truth/ promises into them. To abundantly show them Gods grace and mercy.

“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” 1 Peter 2:21

Excited for you guys to follow my journey. I hope this gives you a little of what this is all about. I am so excited to hear how God is moving in your lives!

xoxo Taylor ❤
